As we’re travelling, our Internet connection is be via a 4G mobile hotspot. This is all well and good where we get a good strong signal, but it’s iffy in some places. So we have a signal booster. I’ve found it can push a one bar connection to two or three bars. I’ve not yet had a chance to see if it can give me one bar where I otherwise can’t connect, but I suspect it will.

I wish we could all buy a wife signal booster. Plug it in and her hints are boosted to a level men hear. Those few extra or missing words become a full sentence, and nuances and tone of voice become loud and clear communication.
I’ve spent a lot of time watching men and women communicate with their same sex friends, and I’ve seen how much easier it is to clearly communicate in these situations. Men miss some of what women are saying without actually saying it, and women tend to read into what men say things the man didn’t mean. We communicate differently, and it leads to all kinds of trouble.
The first step to fixing this is to understand it’s happening. Check for miscommunication often, even when you don’t suspect it. Any time either of you is frustrated, make sure it’s not partly due to a difference in understanding.

Great thoughts here, Paul.
We, as men, need to develop the desire to want to respond, as well…and to understand what the desired response is.
SOmetimes it’s just to listen; even when WE are the problem, our wives don’t want us to change…they just want us to know that while we’re loved as we are, sometimes we’re a pain in the neck.
