I was recently talking to a fellow who said he and his wife will from time to time ask each other if life is hard or bad?
What a great question! Or should I say, what a great way to help each other frame things clearly.
Hard means difficult circumstances. There will always be difficult times in our lives. Bad is very different. Bad means someone did something horrible, or the situation feels hopeless.
We could ask the same question about our marriages. Is it hard, or is it bad?
