Savoring Life’s Pleasures For Personal and Marriage Health

Most men pursue pleasure with such breathless haste that they hurry past it. ~ Søren Kierkegaard

Wow, that’s so true! Sex would be an obvious place to apply this, but it’s not the only one. We rush through a good meal. We glance at a sunset as we hurry to do whatever. We cram our vacation so full we can’t stop to enjoy any of the great things we do.

A couple running on the beach, ignoring the sunset.

God created us with a need for pleasure and beauty. When we rush past these things, it hurts us. What’s more, a good marriage includes sharing moments of beauty and pleasure. Rushing those times hurts a couple.

This is just one more way margin is critical for a healthy life and a good marriage.
