Last Saturday, I suggested that focusing too much on the quantity of sex could hurt the quality of sex.
I think this is true for most things in life. Your wife wants to connect by talking, but spending hours talking about trivial things isn’t as good for your relationship as a half hour of deep, heartfelt conversation.

Of course, focusing on quality can also go wrong. Your truck won’t do well on just two quarts of the best oil you can buy.
The reality is, your car and your marriage need both quality and quantity. Below a certain quality, no amount is enough. And below a certain quantity, quality alone won’t make things work.
If an area in your marriage is lacking either quality or quantity, it’s easy to see what you need to do. If both quality and quantity are low, I suggest working on both. Either at the same time or switching off. Focusing on either to the exclusion of the other isn’t going to work out well.
