I recently learned that fifty to sixty percent of men who get a prescription for Viagra or other ED medications stop taking the drugs within a couple of years. As we know that seventy-five percent will get a good erection from such drugs, that means a lot of guys find it works, but don’t keep taking it.
There have been a lot of studies done on why this is the case. I think it’s fair to sum those up by saying, “Good sex takes more than an erection.” Many of these couples have relationship and sexual problems that a pill could not fix.

I think we learn this wrong long before we are married. As horny teens, we had erections for no reason, and most of us allowed those erections to drag us into various sexual sins.
When we were first married, all we needed for an erection was our wife being partially naked. Or thinking about her partly naked. And we told her, and ourselves, that meant we should have sex.
The truth is, it takes more than an erection to have good sex, and having sex just because you have an erection is a good way to have bad sex, at least from your wife’s perspective. Erection based sex is usually focused on the physical, and as nice as that is, it’s only a part of what makes sex amazing. When sex comes from a deep desire to connect intimately with your wife, it’s far more and far better.
Your penis is a tool, not a gauge. You should use it, not let it use you.
