Have You Lost That Loving Habit?

Habit is an interesting thing. We make habits without meaning to and we can also lose them just as easily. Lori and I used to go to movies, in a theatre, fairly often. Covid caused us to lose that habit and we’ve not picked it back up other than for our Christmas Eve movie – which was really its own habit. Churches have found that going to church was a habit some folks lost during Covid.

Busyness can kill habits. Stress or being tired can end habits. Even good things that change your life or schedule can derail habits. It turns out long-standing habits can be broken rather easily given the right situation.

Neon sign that says "Habits to be made".

Some lost habits were no big deal and losing them is no big deal. Some were nice and it would be good to make them habits again. And some were good for you and should become habits again.

What habits that you once shared with your wife have you lost? Which of those was a real blessing to one or both of you? What are you going to do to bring back those habits or something similar?
