You do certain things for your wife because you love her and want her to be happy. This is right and proper.
What do you NOT do for her?
Much of what makes a marriage good is what we don’t do because we know it would annoy, anger, or frustrate our wife. Not flirting with other women would be an extreme example.
You may not think much about what you don’t do. What’s more, it’s likely your wife doesn’t thank you for what you don’t do nearly as often as she thanks you for what you do. But this doesn’t make what you don’t do less important.
Two questions for you:
- Is there anything you should add to your don’t do list?
- Should you start thanking your wife for some of the things she doesn’t do?
