The other day my son, his brother-in-law and I were doing some tree removal on our ten acres. As the brother-in-law was checking and sharpening his chain saw, my son’s mother-in-law asked him about removing the pointy bits left from cutting a cattle panel to size for her garden fence. He said he would take care of it. He then grabbed an extension cord and grinder and did it right then. He was done and everything was put up by the time the saw was ready to go. His mother-in-law was pleasantly surprised.

Doing things for your wife is great. Doing them right away when that’s reasonably possible tells her that she and her needs are important to you.
If right now isn’t possible, tell her when it will be done and barring some unexpected problem, get it done by then.
This is a much bigger deal for many wives than you can imagine and doing it right away will improve her opinion of you.
