So encourage her to go get something new to wear. If money is tight, carve out some money for her. Watch the kids so she can shop in peace. And admire what she buys when she returns triumphant.

It does seem that God made ladies
really weird, oh Heaven knows!
So let us now indulge the crazies
and send them out to buy new clothes
for no other earthly reason
that their fevered minds arrange
but to celebrate the season
as it doth begin to change.
I’ll encourage with a smile
as wife flits hither and yon,
trying to avoid to yawn while
she tries each purchase on
to get a response from me
in my old Def Leppard tee.
