Do you know how to provide your wife with comfort and care?
Women are a bit different from men about these things and, of course, each woman is unique. It’s worth figuring out what she wants when she feels down, sad, stressed, or anxious.

In general, non-sexual touch is good. Especially hugging or holding her. Holding a hand is also good. Additionally, most women like to hear reassuring words and expressions of sympathy.
If you watch how your wife offers care and comfort to others, you will get some good clues about how she wants those things for herself.

Sometimes Barb may need a hug
to break up sorrow’s boulder,
but I’m a hooligan, a thug,
and I punch her on the shoulder.
When we met I gave a vow
that her heart I’d fortify,
and I found the best way how
was just to treat her like a guy,
to use what God has given me,
and what’s leaned in the squad bay,
to pack love and sympathy
(though it may not seem that way)
in what sounds like a harsh reproof
of which the hearer knows the truth.
