The Marriage God Intended You To Live

Yesterday I talked about abandoning the pack mentality and being who God made you to be. Today I want to urge you to do the same thing in your marriage.

Marriage is not a one size fits all thing. When you combine two unique people, the permutations are nearly endless. If two marriages look exactly alike at least one of them is not living what God intended.

Yesterday, I said trying to be someone you’re not is exhausting and makes you miserable. The same is true for marriage. Trying to do what someone else thinks your marriage should be is hard work and it leaves you empty and unhappy. It also makes your marriage far less than it should be. Just as the world needs you to be who God made you to be, the world needs your marriage to be what God intended.

The first step to living the marriage God intended is for you and your wife to both start being the individuals God called you to be. In fact, if you both do that, doing the same in your marriage will come naturally. Of course, someone will tell you what your doing is weird or wrong. Just smile and keep being who God intended you to be.
