The busyness of this season can make sex difficult and less frequent. And if fussing about it worked, we’d be set. But fussing doesn’t usually help. At best, you get some “let me know when you’re done” sex, and who wants that?
So rather than complaining, ask your wife what would make it possible to have more sex the next few weeks. That might be about you helping her with all she has to do or taking the kids away while she does it. Or maybe she would like you to let her know you’re interested before she collapses into bed. Maybe there is a different time of day that would work better. Or maybe a different sex act. If she has a decent sex drive, ask if she would like to masturbate side by side or offer to give her an easy orgasm with a vibrator and then climb on for a quickie.
Giving sexy gifts can be tricky. If sex is a problem area in your marriage, you’re probably better off not going there. You can make a mess by giving her lingerie that makes her think you want her to act like a prostitute or a sex toy that offends her. If in doubt, don’t.

As a high drive spouse who gets busy I can say that it’s a different time of day. I have been banging the drum for years and to be honest he just doesn’t listen so often the answer from me is no. No, I am not asking for a weird time of day when it’s impossible for him. I am just saying no to weekend mid mornings or mid mornings when kids are off on break. I have a million things to do. At least in my situation “I’ll be quick” is not incentive. I know what that means for me.
