Your mission, should you be wise enough to accept it, is to plan a great December date night.

Plan it means knowing where you’re going and taking care of babysitting if needed.
Notes: This is not an impossible mission, nothing should self-destruct, and there will be no need to disavow anyone!

I like this idea.
Sitter – check (grand parents are in town so that was easier than normal)
Dinner – check
Fun thing to do – check
Sent to wife – check
Confirmed scheduled around bowl game – check :)
Did you send that last line to your wife, too? Time spent with your wife should supersede any sporting event, EVER.
Nope, I like to live.
Also, it’s a joke. I’ll actually probably miss the end of a game I’d like to watch.
I have to make sure of ate nights for Barbara…with friends, and not me.
She thinks she should be spending time with me, but she really needs the support structure of good friends. I won’t be here in later months; they will, and she’ll need them then.
Yes, I would agree to a certain extend. While I have no great experience in dying and I admire your selflessness and care for your wife, I can imagine that if my wife was dying and she indicated I should spend more time with my friends and less with her, I think my answer would be: “I only have you for a while. The friends will still be there when you’re gone. Let me spend time with you while I have you!”
