The Gift Box that Gives all Year

Here’s the ultimate give that keeps on giving. Buy a nice box with a fitted lid – or go all out and get a wood box with a hinged lid.

The Gift Box that Gives all Year

Wrap it for Christmas with two things inside: 1) a nice little gift, and 2) a note explaining this is a gift box and gifts will show up in it at random times all of next year. Then find a place for it where you will both see it daily.

Every few weeks (or less) put a gift in the box. Some of them can be simple inexpensive things like her favourite candy or a love note. Others can be much nicer gifts. You can also leave coupons for special date nights, massage, or whatever else she would enjoy.

This is the ultimate gift for a woman whose love language is gifts.

Love this idea, Paul, but it does require an absolute commitment to consistency. For life, period.

I know of another idea of a gift that keeps on giving…better personal hygiene. Seriously, after a fellow blows his nose would it kill him to check his moustache for boogers. And it isn’t a sign of conforming to the man to brush your teeth more than 4 times per YEAR.

    Greetings,
After reading this post last month, I wanted to do this. I found a few things online, but didn’t I didn’t want to buy a junk trinket that has no meaning. Well my wife had some /really/ old hand-made wooden chairs she /really/ liked that finally gave out and as of ~2 weeks ago were no longer useable. Hrm…I wonder if I can repurpose that wood…

Me + Wood + Power Tools = Bad Idea.

Still, I tried and with a LOT of prayer, it came out pretty decent. It is slightly crooked and more than one ‘oops’ is visible…but something that has meaning to her + 8$ in hinges and screws + a few hours of work = something she REALLY enjoys.

I already have a shipment of stuff coming that I am going to start giving over the next few months (some real cheap; some not so cheap; the lingerie piece might be more for me… :D ). I hit up http://www.thedatingdivas.com/ for help on crafting Love Note’s for each gift. Going to give this thing a real go.

Thanks for the idea and all of the amazing encouragement!
